This knitted beard is a dress-up box essential for any baby or toddler. With just one beard, they can dress-up like their favorite bearded adult or celebrate any number of holidays: Presidents’ Day, St. Patrick’s Day, 4th of July (Uncle Sam in the house!), Talk Like a Pirate Day (it's on September 19th), and Christmas. Heck, you might even be able to use it on Halloween! Kids love it and adults think it’s pretty darn cute.

Sized for both babies and toddlers, this pattern is a quick, forgiving knit that uses size 6 needles and less than 100 yards of worsted weight yarn. The pattern is easy to work and can easily be adjusted to make a larger size to fit adults.

ABOUT THE PATTERN

Size: Baby (Kid) / 3.5"h x 5"w (4.5"h x 7"w)

Yarn:

85-95 y worsted weight yarn. Sample shown in Ewe Ewe Wooly Worsted (worsted weight; 100% superwash merino wool; 95 y) in Vanilla.

Needles:

US 6 (4 mm) straight needles or size to meet gauge (5.5 sts = 1")
