That's why this year we're sharing 6 free fast and fun Christmas knitting patterns that will make festive decor for you or great gifts to give to someone on your list. They are fun, fast, and offer big reward.
1. Sweater on the Elf
This top-down, raglan sweater was designed to fit a visiting 11” tall elf. With a smidge of positive ease and a slightly cropped profile, this free Elf On The Shelf sweater pattern is appropriate for all situations, including hiding in tight spots, sneaking sweet treats, plotting mischievous acts, and, well, sitting on shelves.
Don't have an Elf? Knit a single sweater to make an ornament or present topper. Knit several and string them as garland.
Yarn: 20 y of sport weight yarn

2. Baby Beard
If you can't visit Santa in the North Pole, do the next best thing: dress up as him. 3. Holly Jolly Pom Pom Gnome
Get your house spruced up for the holidays with our Holly Jolly Gnome! Knit the festive tree-inspired hat from the bottom up and place it atop a pom pom for full gnomey vibes!
Yarn:
- 45 yards bulky weight yarn for the hat (we used Ewe Ewe Baa Baa Bulky)
- 50 yards DK-worsted weight yarn for pom pom
- 8 yards in two colors of bulky weight yarn for the legs

4. No-Knit Wine Bottle Topper Hat
Make this tiny hat without picking up a needle! This Wine Bottle Topper Hat is simply made with a section of toilet paper roll and yarn scraps. It fits perfectly on the top of a wine bottle but can be made into an ornament, strung as garland, or used as a present topper.
